Accor Services has acquired Commuter Check Services Corporation, an American company issuing transit vouchers. These checks allow companies to help their employees fund their daily commuting requirements.
Commuter Check Services Corporation is a major player in this market in the US in terms of:
- its business volume amounting to $ 79 million in 2005;
- its portfolio of around 3,700 customers;
- its 110,000 users in the 10 major American cities (in particular San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Philadelphia).
In the United States, the public transport voucher business is booming. Today, 16.7 million American employees use public transport to get to work.
Only around 3% of them are helped by their company in the form of transit vouchers. That is why the American Federal authorities have recently initiated tax measures to incite companies to provide such vouchers.
This initiative positions Accor Services as the leading private company in the US to distribute transit vouchers to companies for their employees.
Accor Services intends to continue this service-related expansion to provide its corporate customers with solutions designed to optimize work and wage conditions for their employees, increase performance and enhance loyalty.
